Lifestyle Dental Care is making smiles straighter for adults and teens with Invisalign clear aligners.

We’ve heard a many valid reasons from patients hesitant to commit to braces:

Covering mouth

“I’m not ready for the time commitment that braces require”

“I’m not ready to commit to the dietary limitations braces can bare”

“I feel self-conscious about getting braces at an older age”

Whatever your reasons, there’s finally a better alternative for correcting misaligned teeth.

The Invisalign solution is a clear aligner treatment which straightens your teeth without the frustration of having to deal with the inconvenience and discomfort of traditional braces.

What is an Invisalign Treatment?

Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners uses a clear tray which has been crafted specifically to fit how your teeth should be aligned.

You will receive a number of aligners over the course of your treatment, each designed to realign your teeth a little bit closer to their ideal position each time.

Invisalign clear aligners provide a number of benefits over traditional braces:

  • Transparent – No one will know you’re wearing them!
  • Removable – Easier to eat and drink as well as maintain oral hygiene
  • Comfort – No metal wires or brackets to prevent cuts or irritation around your mouth
  • Convenient – Relatively faster treatment times with less trips to the dental office

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Invisalign treatmentcost?

The cost of your Invisalign treatment will depend on a number of factors. The length and nature of your treatment plan, your location, the initial alignment of your teeth are just a few of the variables which influence the cost of your treatment. Your insurance plan and provider will also play a major role in determining how much of the total cost you will be responsible for. However, most reports estimate the average cost of Invisalign treatment is between three and five thousand dollars.

Is Invisalign treatment painful?

It’s hard to imagine shifting the alignment of your teeth without some level of discomfort. The important thing to consider is what Invisalign aligners are painful relative to. Most people who have realigned their teeth with braces have reported experiencing some discomfort—specifically a few hours of aching or soreness—throughout the course of their treatment. Dental realignment treatment with Invisalign is widely reported to be less painful than treatment with traditional braces. So, if you are prepared to handle a level of discomfort which is reportedly less than the mild discomfort experienced by those who wear braces, you should be just fine.

Does Invisalign aligners work as well as braces?

There’s no easy answer to this question. First, it should be known that braces aren’t always 100% effective and in many cases, require some fine tuning and adjustments which may differ from the initial treatment plan. It really boils down to the extent to which your teeth are misaligned and how closely you are able to follow the treatment plan. Even then, you may still require some late-stage adjustments to ensure your teeth are properly aligned. However, in almost all cases, patients are able to reach their ideal alignment, even if some minor adjustments are required.

How do I choose between braces and Invisalign clear aligners?

Some differences between braces and Invisalign are obvious. Others, not so much. Obviously, Invisalign aligners are a little more invisible than the metal and rubber band set up of traditional braces. This makes Invisalign clear aligners ideal for working adults or for children who may feel self-conscious about their smiles. Invisalign aligners do not have to be worn around the clock and typically require less maintenance than traditional braces. The duration of treatment between Invisalign aligners and braces is not vastly different. In the end, it depends on your needs and lifestyle.
